Look for the lamp

Chandhanee Magu runs from the harbour end toward Majeedhee Magu. We are on the eastern side, past the tailor with the blue shutters, down three steps below street level. There is a brass lamp over the door and no sign, which is deliberate and occasionally a problem.

Ten minutes on foot from the ferry terminal, less if you cut through the market. Scooter parking is easier on the lane behind us after seven.

The back room seats fourteen

Two booths and a long table, separate from the counter. We hand it over for tastings, small launches and birthdays that need somewhere dim. Monday and Tuesday evenings are usually free.
